We all know kids grow so fast
Which is why photos are so important.
Photos are the only way to stop time when you’re in the the season of life where “the days are long but the years are short.”
But, anyone who has shelled out for a disappointing school photo can attest, not all pictures are created equal.
It’s simply not enough to capture how your kids look. Great photos should tell the story of who you are as a family.
You deserve beautiful, timeless images, to enjoy now, and when they’re grown.

As an awkward person myself, I have become an expert at directing grown-ups, kids, and families.
When I give direction, I account for how you naturally move and interact, your personalities, the colors and shapes of your clothing and how those can best work with the background, and most importantly, how you feel during the process, because of how it effects the look on your face (because it’s all for nothing if your photos look like your drivers license).
I’ll never leave you to guess what you need to do, and I’ll always make sure you feel comfortable and confident so you look your best in your photos.

Immortalizing your kids’ personalities as they are right now, is the most important thing I can do. They change so fast—let’s make sure you can always remember who they were at this age.
I’ve been photographing kids, families, teens, and weddings professionally for over 17 years.
To me, there’s no better feeling on earth than showing someone, through photos, how beautiful and loved they are.
I’m a mom to an 19 year old daughter. If your kids are “going through a phase,” I have been there. You’ll get no judgement from me, only help.
I love when clients, including kids, are skeptical about getting their photo taken. Winning them over is half the fun.
I’m a huge nerd, a natural helper, former theatre kid, and an educator for other photographers. I can’t wait to meet your family!
Expect the unexpected
Kids don’t always follow the plan
All of our photoshoots have extra time. If you need to make wardrobe adjustments, wipe noses, hand out bribes, or calm a meltdown, we expect that.
Smart Location planning: Kids at different ages do better in different environments. Newborns usually need to stick close to home, toddlers need to be able to be safe to get their wiggles out, and everyone does better when there’s not a long walk to the car. Let us know your limitations and we’ll help you pick the best location for your family and desired aesthetic.
Pets are family too! Bring the pups if you’re up for it.
Kids are People Too
Kids often act up at photoshoots because they don’t understand what’s happening
They don’t get that it’s not really a big deal to wear their scratchy pants for a few hours. They get tired of being asked to “look at the camera” over and over again and start acting up in protest. In fact, because most of us take photos with our phones in day-to-day life, most little kids have never seen a professional camera before and don’t really understand what’s going on.
As a parent, and a photographer, my philosophy is “show, don’t tell.” If I want you to pose a certain way, it’s going to be so much easier to grasp if I demonstrate it for you instead of describing it—and this is especially important for kids.
I will often let a shy kid be my “helper” for a few minutes and let them see the screen on my camera, and even take a few shots, so they know what’s happening—which turns most kids into joyful participants.
At your family photoshoot, I am prepared for the fact that kids don’t always follow directions, so I am all about getting on their level, acting a little silly myself, and turning it into a game.
That way we get to see their true smiles shine, which always makes for the best pictures.

Extended family photos are the gift you give yourself
Getting extended family together for a photoshoot can bring you joy for years to come.
Before the shoot I ask a lot of questions about who is who so I can direct your group into the combinations that make sense.
Individual portraits of the kids, and any adult who wants a new profile photo.
You’re also free to create a shot list or ask for any grouping in the moment. All the boy cousins together? All the sisters? Your family knows what combinations will be most meaningful to them.
Split the bill—If multiple families are chipping in, I can divide the invoice evenly, or any way you like.
Packages 1 or 2 (see below) are recommended for extended families.
How to work with Us
Let us know your vision and preferred date
Click the button to fill out our contact form, so I can send you some dates we have open and location suggestions. Most sessions can be planned by email, but we can also get on the phone if that’s easier.
I’ll email you back and we’ll start planning your session together—taking into account all the people involved, their needs, sunset time, location restrictions, outfit advice, and anything else to make your session perfect.
When you’re ready to make it official:
I’ll email you your quote: an online portal where you can choose your package, fill out a short questionnaire about your family, sign your contract, and pay your $200 retainer (required to book your date—applied toward the total) conveniently online.
Package 1
$ 1275
Unlimited time session—Unlimited time means I set aside either the morning or the afternoon/evening of your shoot day. Typical unlimited time shoots last 2-3 hours including travel between locations.
Location of your choice or multiple locations.
Includes all the high resolution image files in your gallery so you don’t have to choose. (Typically 100+ files) you can download, print, or share your files anywhere
No charge for additional image files because you receive all of them
Prints and products available for purchase in your gallery, or you print your own full resolution files
This session is an especially good fit for large extended families, or in-home newborn sessions.
*Payment can be divided between multiple people if you’d like to split the cost with your family or friends.
Package 2
$750
One Hour of photography—we schedule an hour and a half to make time for snack breaks, outfit adjustments, and anything else unexpected.
One Location of your choice (This can be your home, a local park, or a scenic spot. Not sure where you want to shoot? I’ll help you pick the best place for stunning photos that aligns with your vision and needs.)
Includes 35 high res downloadable image files you can print or share anywhere
You select your 35 images from the gallery
Additional image files $35 each
Prints and products available for purchase in your gallery, or you print your own full resolution files.
Suitable for all families
Package 3
$ 550
30 minutes of photography—we schedule an hour to make time for snack breaks, outfit adjustments, and anything else unexpected.
Location of your choice (This can be your home, a local park, or a scenic spot. Not sure where you want to shoot? I’ll help you pick the best place for stunning photos that aligns with your vision and needs.)
Includes 20 high res downloadable image files you can print or share anywhere
You select your 20 images from the gallery
Additional image files $35 each
Prints and products available for purchase in your gallery, or you print your own full resolution files
Best for families who just want a couple good images and know the kids won’t sit still for very long anyway.
*Not a good fit for extended families, as there isn’t enough time to do all the different groups.
