Your Engagement Session is Tailored to You

• We’ll make a plan together for a shoot that actually means something to you. Revisit the site of your first date? Hike up the mountain where you realized they were the one? Capture the city that you’ve learned to call home together? Your session locations are part of your story.

• Your emotional connection is front and center in the photos. I’ll ask about your love story so I know how to capture the details that will mean the most to you. Your inside jokes, what you love about each other, and how you interact are on display—resulting in images that feel more vibrant than any selfie.

• We are creative partners. I welcome your inspiration photos, and I help bring to life your unique creative vision. I also take into account how to make you look your best with colors, poses, lighting, and posing prompts designed to draw out and showcase what’s uniquely beautiful about you.

Our Engagement Sessions are Long

• If you’re camera shy, or think of yourself as “not photogenic,” a long session might sound counterintuitive, but a more relaxed session is actually the key to photos you will love forever. In our sessions, you don’t actually spend every second staring down the barrel of a camera lens. We talk, we joke, we get a little breather driving between locations, I involve you in the creative process, and, I’ll show you how the photos look as we go—so you can feel that much more confident.

• Getting some practice being in front of the camera—practice being observed—can make your wedding day infinitely less stressful. At an engagement shoot, after a period of time, most people have this moment where they stop wincing and relax—and that’s when the best photos are made. When you’ve had the “practice” of an engagement shoot, and love how you look in your engagement photos, you can feel calm, confident, and relaxed during your wedding portraits.

• Our engagement sessions start at 2 hours, which gives you the freedom to pick the locations that are right for you, not just the ones that are conveniently nearby. Which makes it easy to add a fun activity, like popping champagne, stopping for a coffee, or incorporating your favorite hobby.

Your Engagement Photos can be used in Countless Ways

• It’s not all ring photos and kissing. Your engagement session is a lot more like your first set of family portraits, showing off your the best of you as a couple and individually. We include close ups, full body, and environmental portraits, both camera-aware, and candid—so you have the photo you need for any occasion.

• Use your photos for save the date announcements, wedding invitations, phone wallpaper, gifts for parents and grandparents, holiday cards, framed art in your home, decoration at your wedding, your LinkedIn profile, and more.

• Wedding photos are some of the most significant of your life, but you can’t use a photo wearing a wedding dress for everything. Your engagement session provides you with professional images that can be so useful in the engagement phase of your life and beyond.

• Because our sessions encourage multiple outfits and locations, it looks like more than one session. You can share some photos right away, and keep others private until a big reveal for maximum impact.
